The Whooping Crane Guest House has adopted the following policies and practices to ensure all of our guests have an enjoyable, relaxing, quiet, and safe stay.


Please telephone to make your reservation and we will promptly get back to you if we are not here to answer your call.

Check In / Check Out

Our normal check in hours are between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm (local time). We like to personally greet all of our guests. However, there are times outside our normal check in hours when we aren't at the house. We understand that your travel arrangements may not coincide with our normal check in hours. This is not a problem. We are happy to accommodate early or late check ins with advance notice.

Our check out time is at 11:00 am (local time). Late departures may be arranged in advance if new guests will not be checking into your room the same day.


  • 7 days prior to 7:00pm on the day of your intended check-in, a $35.00 cancellation fee will be charged.
  • If you cancel within 72 hours of your intended check-in, you will be charged for 50% of your stay (minimum fee equal to one night).
  • If we are able to rebook your room with another guest, you will be reimbursed for those nights.
  • If you do not show up when you intended to check-in, you will be charged for your entire booking.


We regret that the use of candles with an open flame is not allowed anywhere in the house for safety reasons.


The Whooping Crane Guest House is a non-smoking facility. For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.

Special Diets

We are happy to accomodate special diets with advance notice. Please advise us at the time you make your reservation if you have any special dietary requirements. We will make every effort to meet your dietary needs.


We apologize, but we cannot accommodate pets during your stay at the Whooping Crane Guest House.
